This document explains what data the Scouts social app (the "Service") collects, why, and how it is protected.
1. What we collect
Account: name, email, nickname, password (stored as a hash), registration date.
Profile (optional): avatar, date of birth, gender, native language.
Content: your posts, photos, comments, votes, chats.
Location (optional): only when you manually add a location to a post or tap "Detect" when creating one. Coordinates are attached to the post; there is no background tracking.
Push token: a device-specific token from Apple used to deliver notifications. It can be disabled in iOS settings.
Technical data: app version, interface language, and IP address on server requests (for rate limiting and security).
2. Why
To provide the Service: feed, chats, profiles, notifications.
To moderate content. Automated moderation runs on our own server and does not share data with third parties.
To protect the service from abuse and spam.
3. Who we share with
We do not sell your data. It is shared only with:
Apple — the push token is required to send APNs notifications.
